TEACHER FEATURE TUESDAY: This week’s featured teacher is Mrs. Jaimie Sublett. Mrs. Sublett is a 2006 graduate of Harrisburg Schools and returned home 13 years ago to begin her teaching career. As the Elementary Math Specialist, Mrs. Sublett works with all grade levels of elementary students. She designs meaningful and individualized academic lessons and small group activities for students making what are sometimes difficult math concepts both approachable and enjoyable. Simply put…she makes math fun! Mrs. Sublett also devotes her time to serving as CTA Treasurer, District Academic Advisory Cabinet, PBS Leadership Team, CTA Salary Committee, and District Equity Committee. We are so thankful that our students and staff have the opportunity to benefit from her knowledge and skill every day. Thank you, Mrs. Sublett! #Bulldawgpride

On Sunday, Harley Whitaker was honored at the Missouri Scholars 100 Banquet. This is one of the most prestigious awards a student in the state of Missouri can receive, as only 100 seniors in the entire state receive this honor.
This award is given based on class rank, GPA, ACT score, and seven other academic & extracurricular criteria, which make up the “Academic Decathalon” upon which recipients are determined.
Congratulations Harley on this outstanding accomplishment!

HAPPY PRINCIPAL’S DAY to Mr. Burris, Mr. Wardrip, and Mr. Fisher. We deeply appreciate the way they engage, lead, and inspire the students and staff of our district each and every day. #Bulldawgpride

Here are some more photos of the art work from MUSART Wednesday night, including pictures of the portfolios created by Mr. Fainter's Art III students.

MUSART was once again a tremendous success! Students' talents were displayed in a variety of areas, including art, music, and film. Students in grades K-12 displayed their art work. The middle school and high school bands performed, along with the high school choir, and Dr. Weathers showed films produced by her Spanish classes. It was a great night to witness all the talented students here at Harrisburg. Thank you to the Fearns, Mr. Fainter, Mrs. Harrison, and Dr. Weathers for putting on an outstanding event!
