TEACHER FEATURE TUESDAY: Today’s featured teacher is Mrs. Brianne Overfelt. This school year marks 19 years teaching Kindergarten at Harrisburg Elementary for Mrs. Overfelt. Anyone who has spent any time in an elementary school knows that Kindergarten teachers are something really special and Harrisburg has been very blessed to have some of the best. Mrs. Overfelt is a Harrisburg graduate and, no doubt, remembers her kindergarten year with Mrs. Charlotte Perry. Brianne Overfelt, like Charlotte Perry before her, has inspired and encouraged hundreds of students to believe in themselves and in their abilities both inside and outside of the classroom. In addition to the amazing work she does with her students, Mrs. Overfelt serves on our district Positive Behavior Committee, Professional Learning Committee, Principal’s Advisory Committee, Teachers Leading Teachers Committee, and the Harrisburg Community Teachers Association.
