Today was the first day of Survival Kids for our 4th graders! 🔥🚒👩🚒This is a monthly educational program teaching life skills for 4th graders put on by trained volunteers from the Boone County Fire District. Their monthly lessons range from fire safety, water safety, internet safety, and many other important life lessons.

TEACHER FEATURE TUESDAY: Today’s featured teacher is Mr. Vince Debenito. Coach D, as he is affectionately known, teaches elementary and middle school physical education classes. His PE curriculum educates students about how to participate in both team and individual sports and about how to make healthy choices that will last a lifetime. If you ever want to see the culmination of the lessons in sportsmanship and endurance that Coach D teaches his students, plan to come to the annual Field Day event that he hosts in May each year. The amount of time and organization that goes into that event will give you a glimpse of the dedication Coach D has for his students. When he is not teaching physical education, you’ll find Coach Debenito on the football field or in the gym. He is the head middle school football coach, assistant high school football coach, middle school basketball coach, and youth league basketball coach. For all you do for our students and school, Coach D, we thank you! #BulldawgPride
