TEACHER FEATURE TUESDAY: Today’s featured teacher is Misty Ayers. Mrs. Ayers teaches high school science courses including Earth & Space Science, Physiology, Zoology, Conservation Biology, and Dual Credit Biology and serves as National Honor Society Sponsor at HHS. In addition to her 9 years of experience in the classroom, Mrs. Ayers has over 15 years of experience in education that includes teaching at the collegiate level. She has taught courses at Northwest Missouri State University, Garden City Community College, and the University of Akron. This year, in addition to the dual credit Biology course she teaches on our campus for Moberly Area Community College she is also teaching a Biology course with a lab for State Fair Community College. With her love for animals evident in the menagerie of pets she keeps in her classroom, Mrs. Ayers draws on her past experience as a distance learning coordinator and onsite programming and special events coordinator with the Lee Richardson Zoo in Garden City Kansas to educate her students about the importance of conservation and respect for all animals. Thank you, Mrs. Ayers, for making the field of science and conservation meaningful, relevant, and accessible to your students. #BulldawgPride
