TEACHER FEATURE TUESDAY: This week's featured teacher is Mrs. Samantha Carey. Mrs. Carey has been teaching for 13 years and has spent the last 7 of those years teaching first grade in Harrisburg. Mrs. Carey is a master at her craft. When students enter her classroom they are transported to The Land of Oz and the wonderful and amazing things that happen in those walls are not limited to the classroom theme. In those walls students become readers, problem-solvers, and creators. They learn how to work together, be a good friend, and have empathy for others. First grade is truly a magical time and Mrs. Carey is truly an exceptional teacher. In addition to her busy day with first graders, she also serves on our district Teachers Leading Teachers Committee and the Elementary Carnival Committee. Thank you Mrs. Carey for all that you do each day for your students and for your school! #BulldawgPride

TEACHER FEATURE TUESDAY: Today’s featured teacher is Mr. Vince Debenito. Coach D, as he is affectionately known, teaches elementary and middle school physical education classes. With your help, we can provide books to children ages birth to five years as a Dolly Parton's Imagination Library affiliate. As a community we want to ensure every child enrolled is supported financially. The yearly cost for one child to receive books is $26. The cost to sponsor one child for the entire five years is $130. We never want to turn away a child due to lack of funding, so please consider giving the gift of literacy to a child in our community. You may donate to our program by scanning the QR code. Please make sure to designate MOBoone Harrisburg School District as the Imagination Library affiliate. Thanks for supporting our youngest bulldogs!
