Middle School and High School Families there are still some holes. Can you fill them?

We are doing a 90's theme. We could also use some 90's candy to put in the 3 teachers' lounges. I don't have that on a signup sheet.

During Teacher Appreciation Week the parents of Harrisburg are going to feed the teachers lunch. It will be Tuesday, May 5th. We will be serving them beef and chicken tacos. We would also like baked goods all week.

Desserts in all 3 Teacher Lounges all week and 80 gift cards needed to give to teachers and staff during the week. We also need 80 bags of assorted chips to give to the teachers as a gift one day.

ATTENTION STUDENT READERS! All students entering grades K-12 can sign up for Daniel Boone Regional Library's Books by Snail program. DBRL will mail books to your home, free of charge, all summer long. Registration for the 2026 Books by Snail program begins May 4. Book mailings begin May 18. Elementary students will receive registration forms in their folders. High school and middle school students may pick up a form at their school library.

* Students must turn five before August 1, 2026 to be eligible.

TONIGHT is movie night in the MS Gym! The bleachers will be available; but you are welcome to bring your own blanket or lawn chair. Little Bulldogs (LBLC) is providing popcorn, candy, and water. Please park in the elementary lot and use the doors to the MS Gym (Door C). Students must be accompanied by an adult.

Once again we are requesting donations for Teacher Appreciation Week at Harrisburg R-VIII. Teacher Appreciation Week will take place the week of May 4-8. 2026. It is a week where we celebrate the teachers, aides, bus drivers and administrators. Please help us continue to celebrate them by donating. Monetary donations in the form of a check should be payable to Harrisburg PTO.

We can also use prizes to give away to the teachers and staff. We would also love gift cards or other items to hand out to our teachers and staff. We would love to get 80 prizes to pass out to staff.

Join us for a movie in the MS Gym on Friday, April 10 at 6:30 pm. You can come early and enjoy a pulled pork dinner from the Harrisburg Band. Meals must be purchased in advance by April 7 at https://harrisburgband.com.

We are looking for volunteers to run our Literati BOGO Book Fair April 28 - May 1. As a volunteer you might help students make wish lists, find books, or straighten shelves. Please review the available slots and consider volunteering. If you can only volunteer for part of a listed time slot, please indicate that in the comment section. Thank you!
